News of the week - Nov. 18th

News of the Week - November 18th - 22nd, 2019:

Good evening Champion families. This is Mr. Bridges and Mrs. Merlette with a look at the week ahead! We hope you are having a wonderful weekend.  Last Tuesday, our school had a NED Growth Mindset Assembly for K - 5th grade Champions. NED’s message is to Never give up, Encourage others, and Do your best.  Throughout the performance, students discovered how to activate their Growth Mindset to overcome social, emotional and academic challenges.

Yo-Yo’s SALE for NED’s Mindset Mission

  • Our school received this assembly at no-cost because another school paid-it-forward to us. We want to help pay-it-forward too, and you can help by purchasing a NED-messaged yo-yo. If you wish to purchase a yo-yo, they will be available to purchase in the morning before school at 8:00 am and after school at 3:15 pm outside Mrs. Lynch’s classroom this week.  All payments must be submitted via check payable to All for Kidz.

Last Wednesday, our school participated in a Rainbow Run! The event was a great success for our school!  Thank you to Honour Society for setting up such a fun event! Our next school-wide prize is a Pancakes and Pajamas day, which will be this Friday morning! Thank you to all those who have donated to support Honour Society’s Rainbow Run! This was such a successful event for our school!

Morning Drop-off and Pick-up Reminder: In an effort to be respectful neighbors to our community, and maintain student safety, we must be steadfast in our drop-off and pick-up routines. Let this serve as a gentle reminder to staff and parents, please do not make left-hand turns into the parking lot or drop-off lanes if you arrive to school from 8:15am-8:30am or during the afternoon for pick-up. Also, please do not park in any red zones or block our neighbors driveways, and follow the directions of school personnel during drop-off and pick-up. We appreciate your cooperation.

Drop-off time is 8:10am or LATER. If you need to drop your Champions off prior to 8:10am, the YMCA is available to watch your children. There is no supervision prior to 8:10 am and children should not be without a parent on campus at that time. All students must be picked up before 3:30 M-TH and before 12:45 on Fridays, unless they have an after school activity.

**Students arriving at school after 8:40am must be accompanied by a parent and signed in at the front office to receive a tardy slip prior to going to class. Students arriving between 8:30am and 8:40am will still be marked tardy, but may report directly to class.
