What is a SELPA?

In California every local education agency (LEA) is required to belong to a Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA). The SELPA is a consortia of LEAs responsible for the development of special education policies and procedures, distribution of federal and state special education funds, and providing a range of professional development pertaining to special education.

Oxford Preparatory Academy is proud to partner with El Dorado County Charter SELPA and would like to share information on upcoming Community Advisory Committee (CAC) meetings that take place throughout the year.

Parents, family members, educators, agency representatives, and others who are interested in supporting children with special needs are invited to attend the CAC meetings.
