Lexile counts can help match a reader with reading material that is at an appropriate difficulty, or help give an idea of how well a reader will comprehend a text. In the right hand corner of the website, you can plug in the name of a book to check the Lexile count to ensure your child’s book is at an appropriate reading level.
Need book recommendations? Good reads has book ideas for 3rd Grade. If your child’s reading level higher or lower, you can also search for books there as well.
Spelling City is a great resource that allows your Jayhawk to learn their spelling words and play a game at the same time! Check out the site if your child might need extra practice with spelling rules, sight words or phonics.
Typing club is a fun and exciting way to get your Jayhawk’s typing skills up! Practice typing, earn high scores and build skills all at the same time.
